Let there be lights

We had the opportunity to showcase our lighting and post-production skills at the San Diego Mission Bay Resort. This project included images of the twilight views above the hotel’s signature restaurant, Covewood, juxtaposed with the thoughtfully placed exterior sconces, freestanding large-scale lamps and decorative lantern accents. For the bayside restaurant we balanced reflections on the water with the bright orange flames of the outdoor fireplace while also drawing the eye to the overhead fans that provide soft lighting. Sunlight played a role with its shadows dancing on the wall of the outside bar. We captured both interior man made light and exterior natural light simultaneously in the newly refurbished guest rooms. All in all, a challenging, balancing lighting act!
